Social Support Group Assistants – Multiple Part-time Positions

Greek speaking – 6 to 12 hours per week (Tuesday + optional Friday)
Portuguese speaking – 6 to 12 hours per week (Thursday + optional Friday)

(NNC) as a Social Support Group Assistant.
You will have the opportunity to work with a friendly team of staff and volunteers who are passionate about ensuring our seniors are living their best life.
We have multiple roles available, hours
vary from 6-12 hours per week across a 4 week period.
Position Details:
- Responsibilities:
- Work with the Group Coordinator/s to facilitate group activities for seniors from a range of backgrounds (Greek, Portuguese and mainstream).
- Attend monthly bus outings to a range of fun and interesting destinations.
- Create a warm and inclusive environment for all participants
- Support the Group Coordinator in the ongoing monitoring and support of group members

We are
looking for a confident Greek or Portuguese speaker (multiple roles) who has:
- Commitment to NNC’s values.
- Experience interacting with older people.
- Experience working in a group setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both in English and Greek or Portuguese.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- A current National Criminal and Working with Children Check
- Vaccination in accordance with NSW and Australian
Aged Care requirements.
