Mō tēnei tūranga mahi / The Opportunity:

As a Learner Success Support Advisor supporting our domestic students, you’ll be the first point of contact for all student wellbeing and success. From inductions and orientation through to graduation, you’ll provide holistic support and connect students to external agencies and community networks – iwi’s, housing, MSD.

This is a permanent full- time opportunity based out from our New Lynn and Auckland CBD Campus between 8am – 9.15pm (40 hours per week). There will be travel across all campuses involved.

Our students are enrolled in programmes ranging from Level 2 certifications to Master’s degrees, so the ability to support learners across a wide range of educational levels is key for success in this role!

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the front desk at our busy CBD and New Lynn campus – all queries and support (staff and students)

• Coordinate and run orientations and cohort inductions

• Greeting students and staff and answering their queries

• Supporting students with pastoral care issues, academic support and following up with students on attendance via phone, email and site visits

• Assist students with accommodation, work support and third-party support (iwi’s, government agencies and community support)

• Completing administrative and sales support tasks

• Making sure the campus is clean and tidy

Ko koe tēnei | About you:

You could be a an ex social worker, recent graduate or someone that has worked closely with tyouth and young adults within the tertiary setting in New Zealand. You possess a strong understanding of the New Zealand domestic student service guidelines and processes.

• Experience in supporting domestic students / youth in New Zealand

• Strong understanding of Te reo Māori and the Te Tiriti o Waitangi

• Possess a Tertiary Qualification

Full Clean NZ Drivers licence – travel across all campuses will be required

• Excellent command of the English – both verbal and written

• Patience, empathy, and cultural awareness with a genuine passion for helping students succeed

• A collaborative and mature approach – and a sense of fun!

• Tech savvy – Microsoft Office Suite, CRM/LMS- Selma, Zoho CRM, Canvas
