Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | The opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and student-centred Pharmacy Tutor to join our Health School. Reporting to the Head of School, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that support student success, employability and wellbeing, while upholding NZSEG kaupapa, values and compliance requirements.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners and students to deliver engaging, innovative and industry-relevant pharmacy education.

You will start with teaching the Certificate in Pharmacy Level 4 based at our New Lynn Campus. This is has an immediate start date and is full-time permanent position.

As a tutor in this learner-centred, inquiry-based programme, you will:

• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based teaching to diverse learners in Pharmacy

• Promote independent, culturally competent and reflective learning practices

• Design, assess, moderate and review assessments aligned to healthcare practice and aligned with NZQA standards

• Assist with student placements

• Participate in curriculum development and quality assurance processes

Ko koe tēnei | About you

  • A recognised tertiary qualification: Bachelor of Pharmacy or NZ-qualified Pharmacy Technician (Level 5)
  • Candidates with a Level 6 qualification or above will be preferred
  • Teaching experience at a tertiary level (preferred)
  • A minimum of three years’ dispensary experience in a New Zealand pharmacy setting (community or hospital)
  • NZ Certificate in Adult Teaching and Learning / Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5 or 6), or a willingness to obtain this qualification
  • Willingness to learn basic Te Reo Māori
