About the Role
We are looking for an experienced hands-on maintenance plumber who thrives on solving problems, taking ownership, and working across diverse commercial sites across the South-East of Melbourne and Mornington areas.
What You’ll Be Doing
We service factories, industrial properties, local councils and local water authorities , and common areas, with a focus on reactive maintenance, preventative inspections, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform service and maintenance plumbing tasks.
- Participate in the On-call roster.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems
- Inspect sites to locate and resolve plumbing problems, including replacing and repairing components as necessary.
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and perform necessary repairs to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed and prepare detailed reports on completed tasks.
- Keep an inventory of necessary plumbing supplies and equipment, and report when replenishments are needed.
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices or less experienced plumbers.
- Interact professionally with clients and other stakeholders, addressing their concerns and providing updates on ongoing work to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety within the workplace.
- Work closely with other tradespeople, contractors, and maintenance staff to coordinate efforts and complete projects effectively.
- Participate in rostered after-hours servicing
About You
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Plumber (Victoria)
- White Card
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Work at Heights
- Backflow testing experience or licence (beneficial but not mandatory as we can provide training)
- TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) testing certification (beneficial but not mandatory as we can provide training)
- Roofing experience (beneficial but not mandatory)
- 3 + years commercial maintenance plumbing
- Confidence working independently and client-facing
- Someone who takes pride in their work and isn’t afraid to take initiative
- Comfortable working across various job types – no two days the same!
- Customer-focused: can communicate clearly and professionally on site
- A team player who’s opened to learning and feedback
- Good time management and ability to prioritise
Hours & Flexibility
- Standard hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm
- Plenty of overtime + on-call opportunities available if you want to boost your earnings
