About NPS
As one of AFR’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies and a dual winner of the Victorian Training Awards for Apprenticeship Development (2022 & 2023), New Plumbing Solutions (NPS) continues to grow across Australia.
We work with water authorities, government and industry to deliver innovative water management, metering and monitoring solutions that help protect one of our most valuable resources.
We’re looking for a motivated Data Logger Technician to join our growing Water Efficiency team.
About The Role
If you like routine, this role probably isn’t for you.
Every day is different. You’ll start from our Northcote Head Office, collecting equipment and preparing for scheduled works before heading out into the field. Some days you’ll be working across Melbourne, other days you’ll be travelling to regional Victoria. You’ll need to be proactive, organised and comfortable adapting when priorities change, while still getting the job done safely and efficiently.
You’ll travel across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria installing, maintaining and supporting water monitoring and telemetry equipment.
Regular travel is a key part of this role. Most regional trips involve overnight stays, typically one night away, and there will also be occasional interstate travel as projects require.
While you’ll spend your initial training period working closely alongside an experienced buddy who will show you the ropes, you’ll eventually be trusted to manage your own schedule, work independently and take ownership of your work.’=
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and being out in the field.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing and configuring data loggers and monitoring equipment
- Conducting communications testing and system checks
- Troubleshooting equipment and resolving field issues
- Capturing and maintaining accurate records using digital platforms
- Working across commercial, industrial and institutional sites
- Travelling regularly throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria
