About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Commercial Maintenance Plumber to join our Water Operations team supporting a high-rise commercial building in Barangaroo, NSW.
This is a newly awarded contract and an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with a new client from day one. In the early stages of the contract, you will work independently onsite and be trusted to manage day-to-day maintenance activities, represent NPS professionally and help ensure the ongoing success and growth of the contract.
This permanent, full-time role is suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, takes ownership and is confident managing both maintenance works and client relationships onsite.
Based from our Seven Hills office, you will work independently onsite while remaining connected and supported by our broader Water Operations team.
You will be responsible for delivering reactive, planned and preventative maintenance while providing exceptional customer service to our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reactive, planned and scheduled maintenance plumbing works onsite
- Conduct inspections, fault finding and maintenance of commercial plumbing systems
- Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages and plumbing system failures
- Install and replace plumbing fixtures, pipework and fittings as required
- Maintain strong day-to-day relationships with onsite stakeholders and clients
- Ensure works are completed safely and in line with relevant plumbing codes and regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams and contractors where required
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Respond to emergency plumbing call outs and provide effective solutions
About You
- Registered Plumber (licensed plumber highly regarded)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial maintenance plumbing
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Able to work independently and manage your own day-to-day workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong understanding of safety and compliance requirements
- Backflow and TMV tickets highly regarded (training can be provided)
- Experience working within commercial/high-rise environments highly desirable
