About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Officer provides day-to-day support across accounts payable and receivables, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and general finance administration to ensure accurate and timely financial operations. The position will also assist with maintaining internal trackers, supplier follow-ups, and month-end preparation to support the wider finance team. This is a part-time role, ideally 4 days per week.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least a Certificate IV in Accounting. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant practical experience working in accounting, within a complex business structure
  • Experience with Accounting software
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Discretion as there will likely be sensitive information and figures discussed
  • The ability to work to strict time constraints
  • The ability to prioritise work
  • An organised and methodical approach to a task
  • Applicants must hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate data entry
  • Assist with invoice preparation
  • Maintain accounts payable inbox and filing system
  • Assist with bank transaction coding and daily reconciliations
  • Follow up suppliers for missing invoices or documentation
  • Maintain internal trackers (e.g. recurring expenses, invoice logs)
  • Support month-end processes (data prep, not final reporting)
  • Assist with ad hoc finance admin tasks
