About the Role 

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual for the role of Head of Integrity. Working closely with the General Manager, Legal & Integrity, this full-time, permanent position is responsible for leading a whole-of-sport integrity framework ensuring all netball participants – particularly children and vulnerable people – are safe, included, and supported. The position will oversee policy, education, and complaint management, including confidential investigations, while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and sporting industry best practice across all levels of netball in Australia. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and embedding Netball Australia’s integrity strategy, driving a strong, values-led culture and managing integrity risks, reporting, and continuous improvement across all levels of the sport. 
  • Overseeing the Integrity Policy Framework, and governance processes and registers, ensuring alignment with the National Integrity Framework, legislative requirements, and best practice, while monitoring regulatory changes and emerging threats. 
  • Managing all integrity complaints and investigations end-to-end, including breach notices, reports, tribunal matters, and stakeholder support, ensuring fair, transparent, and compliant outcomes nationwide. 
  • Leading core integrity portfolios including safeguarding and child safety, member protection, conduct, inclusion, anti-doping, and anti-corruption (including betting, match-fixing, and integrity agreements), ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations. 
  • Designing and delivering integrity education programs that build awareness, capability, and behavioural change across participants, workforce, and our Member Organisations. 
  • Ensuring the integrity of competitions, including player contracting, payments, and compliance with competition rules and frameworks. 
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Member Organisations, clubs, and key stakeholders, including Sport Integrity Australia, regulators, law enforcement, and industry partners. 
  • Supporting governance, reporting, funding opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to strategic and operational priorities.

About You 

We are looking for someone who possesses the following:  

  • Alignment to our NA Values – Belong, Be Bold, Be Your Best; 
  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in investigation, law or sports governance or a related field;  
  • Extensive experience in strategic leadership, developing and implementing integrity frameworks, governance systems, compliance policies, and supporting board-level reporting; 
  • Strong expertise in investigations, risk management, applying procedural fairness in sensitive/complex matters; 
  • Sound understanding of anti-corruption practices, stakeholder engagement with regulatory and wagering bodies and oversight of integrity risks; 
  • Familiarity with anti-doping frameworks and experience working with organisations such as Sport Integrity Australia, as well as knowledge of sports science/medical governance requirements; 
  • Proven experience in safeguarding, member protection, and conduct management across sporting landscape or similar environments; 
  • Strong knowledge of competition integrity, including player contracts, salary caps, and compliance with rules and regulations; 
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and advisory skills, with proven experience working effectively with senior leadership, boards, and external partners; 
  • Tertiary qualifications in law will be highly desirable, but not essential.

Other Information 

The role is based at Netball’s Head Office in Fitzroy/Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of traditional office hours may be required.
