Description

At Navigator, every day is about helping people get back to their best. We’re driven by ambition to improve recovery outcomes, fuelled by innovation, and always looking for better ways to work dynamically. But what truly sets us apart is how we collaborate—every team, every person, working together as One Navigator to make a real difference.

We are expanding our clinical team and looking for an experienced and motivated General Practitioner (GP) to support our Active Recovery Clinic (ARC) and Chronic Injury Program (CIP). This is a uniquely rewarding role where your medical expertise directly helps injured workers rebuild confidence, regain function, and return to life.

We welcome applicants from Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, as the role can be performed from any of these locations.

The role:

As our GP specialising in Occupational & Injury Medicine, you will play a central role in supporting workers recovering from physical and psychological injuries.

You will:

  • Conduct high-quality clinical assessments for compensable injuries (Workers’ Compensation & CTP).
  • Provide accurate diagnoses, injury management plans, and clear return-to-work recommendations.
  • Deliver ARC and CIP consultations via telehealth and in-person.
  • Work closely with Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, and Recovery Specialists to ensure a coordinated, team-driven approach.
  • Participate in case conferences and liaise with insurers and employers to support safe, timely outcomes.
  • Complete all medical reports within required timeframes and uphold the highest clinical governance standards.
  • This role suits a GP who values empathy, clear communication, and a collaborative, recovery-focused environment.

What You Bring:

We are looking for someone who not only brings strong clinical skills but also aligns naturally with our culture of care, ambition, dynamism, and teamwork.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full registration as a GP with AHPRA
  • SIRA accreditation
  • FRACGP or equivalent specialist GP qualification
  • Minimum 3 years post-fellowship experience
  • Experience in occupational medicine, workers’ compensation, CTP, or musculoskeletal/injury care
  • Strong RTW assessment and documentation skills
  • Confidence delivering telehealth consultations
  • A willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable

  • Additional qualifications in Occupational Medicine, Sports Medicine, Pain Medicine, or Injury Management
  • Experience in compensable schemes or chronic pain management
