Finance Manager

About the Role

Join our growing Brisbane Head Office team as Finance Manager. The purpose of this role is to provide accurate results to management with commentary and insights. The Finance Manager is also responsible for delivering results and implementing Group Finance policies and process improvement initiatives as required. This role also provides leadership for the finance function including reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, governance, accounts payable and receivable. The role will have two directs reports and will report to the GM Finance of NPI.

You will:

• Provide detailed margin analysis for product profitability at a branch level for the retail and project-based product lines.
• Leading the budgeting process and ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals and financial forecasts
• Manage the month end close in timetable ensuring data integrity and completeness.
• Monthly project review of costings, margins and forecast costs to complete project revenue recognition on a POC basis.
• Monthly business performance commentary by product line and branch with working capital analysis.
• Support the Group Finance team with external audit requirements, policy implementation and compliance, process improvement initiatives. 
• Ensure compliance with Group Finance policies including approvals frameworks to reduce financial risk to the business
• Maintain and develop internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Ensure compliance with Group Finance IT policy associated with ERP system, software, hardware and operating management systems.

Key skills

• CA/CPA qualified
• Manage the month end process some of the operating business
• Assist in the tax compliance for the group, ITR, FBT, GST
• Assist with cashflow reporting and the forecasting and budgeting process
• Assist with treasury and banking requirements
• Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, effective internal control and operational excellence
• Ability for clear thinking and providing practical solutions to complex problems in a corporate head office environment
• Process improvement experience in developing improved financial controls and reporting processes
• Ability to handle large amounts of information and detail in an organised efficient manner
• Assist in the preparation and executing of an audit plan for a corporate including managing the external audit relationship
• Ability to deliver quality work within required deadlines in a dynamic work environment
• 5 years’ experience in corporate financial accounting role
• Knowledge and use of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• ERP implementation experience desirable
• Project accounting desirable
• Inventory experience desirable
• Lease accounting experience desirable
