About the role:
As a key member of the Kalgoorlie branch, we are looking for an upbeat team-player. You will work as an all-rounder where no two days will be the same, installation of HDPE pipelines and the installation of Dewatering equipment, head works and all associated ancillaries. This role is site and project based on a 2 on 1 off roster.
Key Responsibilities:
• Installation of HDPE pipelines
• Installation of dewatering equipment
• Head works
• Butt welding of polyethylene plastic pipelines
• Electro-fusion welding of polyethylene pipeline
• Use of extrusions & injection techniques and weld plastic materials
• Socket Welding
• Setting up and loading poly-welding machines
• Lead welding crews (Operators & Trades Assistants) to ensure weld productivity
• Maintenance of welding machinery
• Load and Unload trucks with equipment and machinery
• Operate equipment and machinery as necessary
• Installation of pumps and piping systems
• Dewatering duties in active mining environments
• Complete Pre-start checklists on equipment and vehicles.
• Weld pipelines as per supervisors direction
• Driving to remote mine sites
• Intra and interstate travel may be required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
• Experience with butt weld polyethylene plastic pipelines, electro-fusion weld polyethylene pipelines, weld plastic using extrusions & injection techniques and weld plastic materials
• MR (or higher) Drivers Licence
• Knowledge of pipe works and installations
• PMBWELDS01A – Butt Weld Polyethylene Plastic Pipelines
• PMBWELDS02A – Electro fusion Weld Polyethylene Pipelines
• Sound verbal and written communication skills
• Organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Telehandler ticket
• Experience with Dixon and McElroy machines
Desirable:
• Experience in rental, mining, construction or heavy industries
• Understanding of pipe works and installations.
• Exposure to heavy vehicles and machinery including tele-handlers, excavators and skid steers
• Mine site experience
• HR (or higher) Drivers Licence
