About the Role:

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter (based in Kalgoorlie) to work for a leader in the provision of pump, power and compressed air equipment and services. The role is based out of our Kalgoorlie branch performing servicing, repairs, and installations. Multiple Rosters available to suit your lifestyle! Roster options 2:1,8:6 and 7:7.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Undertaking maintenance & repair of equipment

• Performing Diesel engine diagnosis, mechanical repairs and servicing.

• Inspections and assessments of returned fleet for damage.

• Recording of servicing information and other documentation

• Ad-hoc servicing installs and repairs in the field as required.

• Reading manuals and schematics, document repair notes and interpreting parts information.

• Other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Current C-class driver’s license.

• Relevant Trade Certificate – Mechanical or Light vehicle Mechanic (or significant relevant work experience)

• Experience in mechanical maintenance and repairs

• Assessing and scoping required repairs & parts.

• Experience reading, interpreting, and recording engine and pump data.

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills

• Ability to work unsupervised.

Desirable:

• Demonstrated experience in pump repairs, pump & system installations, diagnostics, duty testing, well point installation; and aligning pump ends to drive systems.

• Exposure to Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries

• Diesel engine and mechanical maintenance and repairs

• Forklift license.
