About the role:

As NPE continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated, hands-on Dewatering Technician to join our Port Hedland team. You will champion the maintenance and repairs of plant & equipment including installations, commissioning, and site mobilisation /de-mobilisation within groundwater, wastewater, and construction industries. Duties in the workshop include preparation of equipment and materials for site.

2:1 roster FIFO from Perth. Residential Port Hedland applicants, 5:2 roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations and commissioning of small to large scale pumping systems
  • Mobilisation and demobilisation of pumping equipment
  • Conduct general workshop duties to prepare for upcoming project and site works
  • Perform function testing of pumping systems
  • Manage OH&S and environmental hazards in the workplace and onsite
  • Ensuring timely completion for all inspection, testing and safety paperwork
  • Assisting with maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment
  • Interpret system drawings and BOM’s in order to pick and prepare for system installations on site
  • Manual labour such as rolling out hoses and lifting PVC bundles
  • Assisting or collaborating with workshop trades to achieve key business objectives
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and championing the NPE brand

Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • HR drivers Licence
  • General Construction Induction ticket (or willing to obtain)
  • Patient, flexible and adaptable to changing and challenging
  • circumstances with great problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a construction industry, Well Point Dewatering, Sump Dewatering, pipelaying or Sewer Bypass operations.
  • Experience in Rental, Construction, Mining or Heavy industries would be advantageous
  • Relevant tickets would be advantageous, including HR Licence, Poly Welding, Working at Heights and/or Dogging/Rigging
  • High Risk Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain)
