About the role:

You will play a key role in upholding quality and compliance across the business, helping to ensure we consistently produce safe, high-quality food. The role involves identifying potential risk areas and taking proactive steps to maintain the highest standards of food safety and suitability for consumption.

Key Responsibilities but not limited too:

  • Looks after quality assurance in receivable (suppliers’ engagements), Batching section, Prep section, Production Kitchen and Wash section. 
  • Ensures quality assurance in blast chillers (Cooling), WIP & Packing (High risk areas), Logistics & despatch and customer complaints engagements. 
  • Have QA officers reporting into both for non compliances raised as per the areas designated. 
  • Conduct Internal Audits to include: SQF, GMP and HACCP Checklist, all prerequisite and supporting programs.
  • Oversee CAR register including liaising with supervisors on completion of CAR where required, perform verification to ensure close out.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualification in food science or related discipline.
  • Experience in a similar role within the food industry for at least 3 years, experience in the food manufacturing industry would be highly desirable.
  • Qualification & proven experience of HACCP, SQF and retails standards such as but not limited to Coles/WQA/ Aldi.
  • An understanding of key industry food standards (including packaging).
  • Hold either internal or external food safety auditing qualification.
  • Competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
