Australian owned business leading the manufacturing industry.
We use state of the art air-drying technology to manufacture premium Australian pet food and treats for both private label and own brand lines. Murray River Pet Food is constantly researching and developing new processes to ensure our products are top quality, ground-breaking and accessible to the wholesale and retail markets and have recently implemented a multi million-dollar upgrade to our facility.
About the Role
As Systems Administrator, you’ll be the technical backbone of our operations — keeping our infrastructure reliable, our networks secure, and our people supported with technology that works. This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting both production and office environments. You’ll be the go-to for IT support while also building your capability across infrastructure, networking and cloud
technologies – perfect for someone with 2–3 years’ experience ready to step up and broaden their skills.
What You’ll Do
Infrastructure & Systems
- Administer and support Windows
Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
- Maintain virtualised environments (Hyper-V), storage systems and backup solutions
- Monitor system performance, capacity and security — proactively resolving issues
- Manage patching, updates, and system lifecycle across the environment
Networking & Connectivity
- Support and troubleshoot Ubiquiti (Unifi) networks, including wired, wireless, VLANs and VPNs
- Maintain reliable connectivity across production, cold chain and office environments
- Work with external providers on WAN, fibre links and failover solutions
- Assist in building secure, resilient network infrastructure
Microsoft Cloud & End User Technology
- Administer Microsoft 365 – Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Intune
- Manage endpoint devices including desktops, laptops, mobiles and operational tech (e.g. barcode devices)
- Support user access, device compliance and application deployment
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support, resolving day-to-day issues efficiently
Security & Access Control
- Support and maintain cybersecurity controls across IT systems
- Manage user identity lifecycle – onboarding, access, MFA and offboarding
- Monitor alerts, assist with incident response and support audit requirements
- Contribute to improving security posture across IT and operational environments
Backup, Continuity & Improvement
- Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery processes
- Ensure systems meet business continuity requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reliability
- Contribute to technology planning and continuous improvement initiatives
What you bring:
- 2–3 years’ experience in IT support or systems administration
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience managing servers, networks and cloud services in a production‑critical environment
- Knowledge of ITIL, cybersecurity frameworks, disaster recovery and compliance requirements
- Strong technical skills in Windows Server, AD, networking and virtualisation
- Manufacturing, food processing or FMCG industry experience preferred
- Solid foundation in Windows environments and networking concepts
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft 365/Azure)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
