 This position is responsible for the setup, changeover and monitoring of packing lines and multi-head combination scales ensuring they meet all safety, quality, and production requirements of Murray River Pet Food.

As a Line Setter you will gain valuable skills in a fast-paced modern manufacturing facility and work closely with our Maintenance team on projects where additional resources are required.  Working in conjunction with the maintenance team you will support and drive preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and testing practices to validate line performance requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Set up, changeover and monitor production lines and processes ensuring they meet all safety, quality and production requirements of MRPF
  • Operate machinery within the facility to produce our products
  • Ensure that production lines and processes run efficiently and productively, coordinate tasks so that the line runs as continuously as possible
  • Troubleshoot and adjust equipment during production to achieve optimum output and minimal downtime minimising waste
  • Maintain and repair production and process equipment by inspecting and conducting routine preventative maintenance to ensure the efficient and continued running of the Murray River Pet Food operations
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and execute maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Assist in the identification and sourcing of replacement parts and equipment, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies for maintenance and repairs
  • Drive preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and testing practices to validate line performance requirements
  • Conduct corrective action maintenance activities to ensure machine integrity and operating efficiency is maintained

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Experience in a mechanical or electrical hands on role
  • Experience in the Meat, Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Experience in a diverse role involving operational and maintenance tasks
  • Operating knowledge of processing equipment and processes
  • Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to use your initiative to investigate machine issues
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP and WHS practices
  • Sound computer skill including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Team player with strong communication skills with the ability to interact and liaise with people at all levels
