Cloud Engineer / Cloud Administrator – Microsoft 365 & Azure Implementation

About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer / Cloud Administrator to help build and modernise our Microsoft Cloud environment. This role is focused on designing and implementing a modern Microsoft 365 and Azure architecture, rather than day-to-day helpdesk administration. You will be involved in setting up a Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO) environment, modernising Microsoft 365 services, implementing identity and security frameworks, and establishing the technical foundations for a scalable cloud platform supporting multiple business entities. This is a great opportunity to work on a greenfield-style cloud implementation where you will help define standards, architecture, automation, and governance across Microsoft 365 and Azure. Key Responsibilities Microsoft 365 Modernisation – Design and implement modern Microsoft 365 environments – – Configure core services including: – – Microsoft Teams – – – – SharePoint Online – – – – Exchange Online – – – – OneDrive for Business – – Establish governance, security, and collaboration standards Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO) Setup – Implement and configure Microsoft Entra Multi-Tenant Organization – – Configure cross-tenant synchronization – – Implement cross-tenant access policies – – Enable secure collaboration between multiple Microsoft tenants Identity & Access Architecture – Design and implement identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID – – Configure: – – Conditional Access – – – – Multi-Factor Authentication – – – – Privileged Identity Management (PIM) – – – – Identity governance policies – – Establish secure B2B and cross-tenant collaboration Azure Cloud Setup – Configure and manage Azure tenant architecture – – Set up: – – Subscriptions – – – – Resource groups – – – – Networking and security policies – – Support integrations between Azure services and Microsoft 365 Security Foundations – Implement security baselines aligned with Microsoft Secure Score – – Configure Microsoft Defender capabilities – – Implement best practices for identity and cloud security Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code – Automate cloud configuration using: – – PowerShell – – – – Microsoft Graph – – – – Azure automation tools – – Build repeatable deployment processes for cloud environments About You You are a technical Microsoft Cloud specialist who enjoys building systems from the ground up. You have strong hands-on experience implementing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments and are comfortable working with identity architecture, security configuration, and cloud platform setup. You enjoy working on modern cloud architectures rather than traditional IT support roles.
