Childcare Centre Cook

Our Officer centre is one of our more established services and is based in the South-eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

We are looking for a new experienced chef or passionate cook to join our established, welcoming team.

About you

As a chef at Montessori Beginnings, you will have the opportunity to really make the kitchen and the role your own. We want people who have experience creating healthy, balanced and tasty meals for children and preparing seasonal menus. You will have experience managing budgets, placing orders with suppliers, and maintaining all records concerning Food Safety.

We are looking for someone that has a wide range of experience across the hospitality and Early Childhood industries and who is going to be a fundamental part of the centre team.

The position is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday.

If you believe you are the right candidate, you should have the following:

• Experience in a similar position

• Current Early Childhood Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

• Current 1st Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR certificates

• Current Working with Children Check

• A good sense of humour

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to be flexible and adaptable

• Ideally experience developing and writing seasonal, nutritious, balanced menus for children
