Key Responsibilities
- Lead all customer, regulatory, and certification audits
- Act as Food Safety Team Leader (FSSC 22000)
- Maintain and continuously improve FSMS and HACCP plans
- Lead annual HACCP reviews
- Manage recall and withdrawal processes, including mock recalls
- Lead food safety incident investigation and response
- Conduct risk assessments where required
- Monitor food safety KPIs and objectives
- Drive and actively engage teams in continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance of supplier and raw material programs
- Oversee daily QA activities and schedules
- Deliver food safety and quality related training
- Develop and build capability within the QA and production teams
- Promote and embed a strong food safety culture
- Deliver food safety messaging in toolbox talks and production meetings
What we are looking for
A confident and practical leader who can operate both strategically and, on the floor, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive food safety outcomes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in quality/food safety leadership roles
- Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or equivalent
- HACCP certification (Team Leader preferred)
- Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000 and other GFSI standards
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Quality systems auditing certification
- Customer and regulatory audit experience
- Strong computer literacy
