Description

MEYM is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Early Childhood Diploma qualified educators to work within our services throughout Merri-bek. The successful applicants will deliver sessional, government funded kindergarten programs with the support and guidance of a highly qualified Early Childhood Teacher and a dedicated team of educators.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to engaging, play-based environments that foster children’s curiosity, creativity, and development.
  • Work alongside passionate educators and teachers, sharing knowledge, learning from diverse experiences, and contributing to strong educational outcomes.
  • Support children’s growth through positive role modelling, relationship building, and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Champion children’s safety and wellbeing through vigilant supervision, respectful relationships, and adherence to MEYM’s child-safe policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate in planning and documenting learning experiences that reflect children’s interests, developmental needs, and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

Qualifications:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood
  • A current Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training (HLTAID012 or equivalent)
  • Completion of a recognised Child Protection course
  • A current Police Check (within the last 6 months)
  • Mandatory reporting training certificate
