Surf School and Field Manager

Due to rapid growth, Peninsula Outdoors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced outdoor professional to join our expanding team.

Position Overview:

The primary aim of this role is to provide senior activity leadership and experiential learning across a range of activities available on and off-site. This role involves planning, leading, and facilitating sessions, including briefing, de-briefing, and supervising participants. The Senior Activity Leader is also responsible for preparing venues and equipment and overseeing day-to-day in-field operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

– Tertiary qualifications in Outdoor Education/Recreation or related fields

– Three to five years of successful experience in a similar role

– Ability to mentor, coordinate, train, and supervise staff

– Peak body qualifications in relevant Outdoor Education disciplines

– Bronze Medallion OR equivalent

– Surf Instructor Level 1 Qualification OR equivalent

– Snorkel Guide Qualification OR willingness to obtain

– Experience in both center-based and journey programs

– Minimum 3-day remote first aid certification

– Relevant licenses/certifications (e.g., heavy vehicle license) OR willingness to obtain
