Food & Beverage – Bar Manager – 12 Month Contract

We are looking for an experienced Bar professional to bring their skills to Eve’s Bar and join Mercure Sydney in a leadership position.

Bar Manager

Eve’s Bar is a small street bar ft beers, clever cocktails, and great quality food conveniently located near the bustling Railway Square.  We want someone who’s willing to work hard and have fun at the same time, delivering welcoming experiences that guests crave. Answering directly to the Food & Beverage Manager this is a hands-on leadership role that will take ownership of the Eve’s bar outlet.  

Job Description: 

  • Set and maintain standards that will keep us ahead of the trend
  • Develop engaging & innovative dining experiences
  • Liaise with the marketing team to promote the bar
  • Empower the team to animate the food & beverage experience
  • Recruit, manage, train, develop and inspire a team of hospitality superstars
  • Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate restaurant and hotel liquor licensing guidelines, house management policies & food safety standards
  • Establish procedures, processes and accurate information that support key financial objectives, manage department budgets and keep accurate records

 

Qualifications: 

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant leadership experience in a food & beverage outlet
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of beverages including beer, wine, spirits & cocktails
  • Knowledgeable of and operate within, appropriate hotel liquor licensing guidelines and policies.
