YARD HAND – AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP

Summary:

The Yard Hand plays a key role in maintaining the presentation and operational flow of the dealership. This position ensures all vehicles and yard areas are kept to a high standard, supporting the sales team and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of the dealership at all times.
• Ensure the yard is presented professionally, with vehicles aligned and no gaps
• Keep all display areas clean, organised, and visually appealing
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of vehicles on the showroom floor
• Conduct basic vehicle cleaning and preparation where required
• Monitor vehicle condition and report and issues or presentation concerns
• Prepare vehicles for delivery to a high standard
• Assist with vehicle movements within the yard and showroom
• Ensure all vehicles are positioned correctly and ready for display or handover

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Strong attention to detail with a high standard of work
• Full and current Australian Drivers Licence
• Ability to safely manoeuvre a variety of vehicles
• Neat and professional personal presentation
• Proactive mindset – able to identify and act on what needs to be done
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Reliable, punctual and consistent work ethic
