Position Summary

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for initiating contact with potential customers, nurturing leads, and generating interest in Maths Pathway’s products and services. Key tasks include cold calling warm and cold leads, managing inbound and outbound leads, and soliciting referrals from current customers through an existing process. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive, persistent and resilient attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cold Calling: Make outbound calls to potential customers from a list of leads, usually based on marketing data and engagement. Effectively communicate the value proposition of Maths Pathway. Schedule appointments and demonstrations for the sales team.
  • Lead Management: Respond to inbound inquiries and follow up on outbound leads. Maintain a pipeline of prospects and update CRM with accurate information.
  • Referral Solicitation: Reach out to current customers to solicit referrals and recommendations using an existing process. Track and follow up on referral leads.

Skills, Traits, and Technical Competencies

  • Demonstrated willingness to hustle and a ‘hunter-like’ approach.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Resilient, enthusiastic, and proactive.
  • Confident with record-keeping and time management with attention to detail.
  • Willing to learn and the ability to do so quickly.
  • Experience with using CRMs is an advantage.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft and Google suites.
  • Typing speed of 55 WPM or above.
  • Ability to prioritize own work and work on several tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering results on schedule.

Qualifications and Experience

  • No requirements for degrees or qualifications in this role.
  • Previous experience in similar sales roles is an advantage.
  • Experience dealing with teachers and schools is not required but is an advantage.
