The Opportunity

As the face of our Master Builders North Queensland region, you will be responsible for engaging with members, your local committee, industry and government stakeholders.  Working closely with our Comms & Media team, you will be the regions media representative and an advocate for change.  

Supporting our vision to help members grow stronger businesses, you will also enjoy a variety of responsibilities which on any given day may see you:

  • Responding to member enquiries for support and assistance within your scope of experience
  • Executing member retention strategies 
  • Meeting with local members of parliament and stakeholders
  • Promoting training and events within your region aimed at engaging and educating the industry
  • Providing direction and leadership to our Regional Assistant, empowering them to perform and grow their skills

What will you bring to the role?

  • The role is as diverse as we expect our candidates to be, but we are looking for someone who brings with them:
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to persuade and influence  Prior experience in the building and construction industry with an understanding of building regulations, codes and managing disputes (desirable) 
  • The ability to self-start and drive performance  
  • Exceptional communication skills  
  • An ability to multi-task and prioritise activities to ensure deadlines are met       
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment (if interested in delivering technical training in the region, this would be great to have, but not essential)
