We are now looking for a highly motivated, gun of a Business Development Manager to join our Residential Management team.
The Role
We are looking for a genuine Business Development Manager. This is a proactive, high-energy role designed for a “hunter” who loves the thrill of the win and is motivated by clear targets.
Your mission is simple: Proactively grow our residential management portfolio. We are looking for a strategist who can consistently bring in 10–15 new managements per month through innovative lead generation, superior networking, and expert conversion.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Proactive Prospecting: Identifying and securing new residential management opportunities through cold calling, database mining, and digital strategies.

Lead Conversion: Conducting high-impact listing presentations and converting appraisals into signed management agreements.

Strategic Networking: Building and maintaining referral pipelines with mortgage brokers, conveyancers, and any other relevant groups or contacts.

Innovation: Implementing fresh, modern BDM strategies to stay ahead of the competition in the Illawarra market.

Market Leadership: Acting as a brand ambassador for MMJ, providing expert advice to investors on maximising their yields.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter who is motivated by targets and KPI’s.

The Mindset: A true “hunter” mentality with a passion for sales, growth, and negotiation.

Experience: Class 2 Real Estate Licence, own car and full driver’s licence and a proven track record in BDM within Residential Management or high-volume Real Estate sales.

Tech Savvy: Knowledge of PropertyMe and InspectRealEstate is highly regarded, along with an ability to use CRM tools to track your pipeline.

Strategy: The ability to develop and execute innovative business development plans rather than wait for referrals.

Local Knowledge: A sound understanding of the Illawarra residential market and current tenancy legislation.

Communication: Exceptional “people skills” with the ability to build instant rapport with landlords and investors.
