Your Role

As a Commercial Administrator, you’ll be a key point of contact for the Project Commercial & Cost team, providing high-quality administrative, coordination, and reporting support to ensure commercial activities run efficiently and accurately.

You’ll:

Provide end-to-end administrative support to the commercial team, including correspondence, registers, trackers, and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date commercial records and ensure document control, version management, and accessibility in line with project requirements.
  • Assist with contract administration and support preparation of materials for commercial reviews and executive reporting.
  • Collate commercial data for weekly and monthly reporting and ensure alignment with Project Controls information.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, and presentations, and manage calendars where required.
  • Liaise with finance and project teams to gather information and support workflows.
  • Manage incoming commercial correspondence and ensure timely action.
  • Provide administrative support and back-up coverage for Contract Administrators.

You’ll Need

  • Experience providing business or team administrative support, ideally within a project, commercial, construction, or infrastructure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • A proactive mindset with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgement.
  • A high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly learn organisational systems.
  • Experience with document management systems or project software (desirable).

Marinus Link is the bridge to a smarter, greener and more connected future. This state-of-the-art infrastructure project will strengthen Australia’s national electricity grid, unlock thousands of jobs and promote renewable energy investment. The two-way energy highway will enable Tasmania and Victoria to share much more electricity, pairing Victoria’s wind and solar with Tasmania’s flexible hydropower system and geographically diverse wind. This is a powerful synergy that strengthens the grid for both states. Marinus Link’s fibre optic cables will improve digital connectivity between Tasmania and Victoria by 150 times. After years of planning and design, construction is on the horizon. Marinus Link is jointly owned by the Commonwealth of Australia, the State of Tasmania and the State of Victoria.
