Mara Global Foods is a locally owned and operated business based in Shannon Brook (approximately 10 minutes from Casino). We specialise in the production of food ingredients and stockfeed. About the Role:

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Grader and Extruder Operator to join our production team. This hands-on role is responsible for operating both Soy & Non-Soy Grading lines, as well as the extruder line for stockfeed production. The role is a full-time position (40 hours per week). No prior experience? No problem – Full training will be provided, but a willingness to work in a hands-on, physical role is a must! Competitive starting rate above award wages, with pay increases based on skill development and job performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor soy and non-soy grain grading lines

Run the extruder line to produce stockfeed products

Conduct in-process product testing (eg, Perten tests, sieve analysis, urease testing, temperature checks, magnet checks, checking silo levels etc) to ensure products meet specifications

Use computer systems to control and monitor grading equipment

Accurately complete all production records and documentation

Perform equipment clean downs and general cleaning of production areas

Change grading screens and perform basic maintenance tasks

Weigh and label bulk bags using pallet scales and touchscreen label system

Operate a forklift

Fill IBCs with Soybean Oil

What we’re looking for

Forklift licence (required)

Experience in grain processing, feedmill or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Basic computer literacy for operations systems and entering data

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

Good communication and teamwork skills

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
