About the Opportunity This is not your typical Learning & Development role. At MANAWISE, learning is at the heart of everything we do because when our people grow, the children and young people we support thrive.

 

We’re looking for a dynamic, creative, and purpose-driven Learning & Development Officer to build capability across our organisation. You’ll design and deliver impactful learning experiences that empower frontline teams to provide exceptional, values-led care.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Design engaging, high-quality learning content across diverse topics and audiences
  • Deliver training through multiple formats: e-learning, workshops, webinars, and face-to-face
  • Build learning pathways and development plans for teams and individuals
  • Ensure learning translates into real-world capability and best-practice care
  • Manage and evolve a central Learning Resources Library
  • Track, analyse, and report on learning outcomes to drive continuous improvement
  • Support leadership development and strategic initiatives
  • Lead recruitment-focused engagement sessions and campaigns
  • Embed cultural practices and organisational values into everyday learning

  • Teams are equipped and confident to deliver exceptional care
  • Learning programs are engaging, measurable, and impactful
  • Compliance and quality standards are consistently met
  • Training delivers real improvements in practice and audit outcomes

 

What You Bring

  • Current TCI Train the Trainer Certification (highly desirable)
  • 2+ years’ experience in L&D within child services or similar sector
  • Strong instructional design skills (e.g., Canva, Sway, or similar)
  • Experience across multiple learning platforms and delivery methods
  • Excellent digital and content creation capability
  • Knowledge of child protection frameworks (highly regarded)
  • A values-driven, authentic, and integrity-led approach

 

Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
  • Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card)
  • National Police Check (within 12 months)
  • QLD Department of Communities Check
