Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Skills:

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

– Excellent attention to detail

– Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero)

– Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

– Prepare financial statements

– Assist with tax preparation and filing activities

– Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

– Member of Institute of Professional Accountants (IPA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred

– Current Tax Agent registration (or the ability to obtain a TAN) is preferred but not essential

– Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or related field

– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

– Knowledge of Australian taxation laws
