Summary:

We are seeking a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for managing and nurturing key accounts within the education industry across a dedicated portfolio of customers, focusing on uniform sales. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to expand product offerings, and actively engaging in face-to-face interactions with school administrators and decision-makers. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, the ideal candidate is proactive, results-driven, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. The role does require some occasional travel with the territory covering South Brisbane, Gold Coast/Northern Rivers & Far North Queensland.

Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key education accounts, fostering strong relationships to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • New Business Discovery: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through tenders, word of mouth, and customer connections.
  • Range Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities to increase range penetration with existing customers, positioning additional product offerings aligned with client needs and school branding.
  • On-the-Road Engagement: Conduct regular on-site visits to schools, meeting with key stakeholders to discuss uniform requirements, assess feedback, and explore new sales opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Implement sales strategies to achieve account growth targets, developing action plans for each account to maximize product adoption.
  • Sales Reporting: Provide detailed and timely reports on account performance, customer feedback, and market trends to the State Sales Manager.
  • Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities, providing insights that support continuous improvement in client offerings and sales strategies.
  • Customer Support: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing, timely delivery, and issue resolution to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in account management, preferably within the education or apparel sectors.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel across nominated territories for client meetings.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license.
