About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager – People & Culture, this is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all facets of HR. As a HR Officer, you will provide generalist HR and administrative support across key areas including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, training, and culture initiatives.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Maintain compliance and employee records using Employment Hero.
- Assist with training coordination and Learning Management System (Go1) updates.
- Contribute to culture and wellbeing initiatives.
- Prepare reports, HR documentation, and support people-related projects.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong foundation in administration and a genuine interest in building a meaningful career in Human Resources. You will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field (or be currently studying towards this).
- Experience in administration or office-based environment, with exposure to HR or recruitment activities highly regarded.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with confidence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- A high level of digital confidence, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HR systems such as Employment Hero or Go1 (or the ability to quickly learn new systems).
- A curious, adaptable mindset and a genuine passion for people, learning and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation including Modern Awards, National Employment Standards, Fair Work requirements, along with sound HR best-practice principles.
