About the Role
We are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated and compassionate Client Wellbeing Coordinator to join our Community Wellbeing team.
In this role, you will coordinate holistic, person-centred support that strengthens tenancy sustainability and improves tenant wellbeing. You will work closely with tenants, internal teams, and
external service providers to assess needs, develop support plans, and connect clients to appropriate services.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide client-centred case coordination, including assessment, planning, referrals, and reporting.
- Deliver early intervention strategies to support successful tenancies and improved general wellbeing.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with tenants, colleagues, and service providers.
- Apply trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches to support clients with complex needs.
- Proven ability to use initiative, work autonomously as well as collaboratively coordinate
access to services across a range of sectors including, but not limited to housing, mental health, family violence, health, disability, and ageing.
- Maintain accurate case notes, data systems, and reports work closely with tenancy teams to ensure timely and effective support responses.
- Support tenant engagement in community wellbeing initiatives.
About You
You are a multi-skilled coordinator with a genuine passion for supporting individuals experiencing complex life challenges. You will bring:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with clients with complex needs in housing, homelessness, or community services.
- Strong understanding of the Tasmanian housing and homelessness sector.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and service systems.
- Knowledge of issues impacting tenancy sustainability (e.g. mental health, family violence, hoarding).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and time management capability.

Selection Criteria
- A tertiary qualification at degree level in Social Work or relevant equivalent; or Minimum Diploma level qualification in Social Housing or Community Services with extensive professional experience working with clients experiencing complex needs in the housing/homelessness sector.
- Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997, community housing products
& programs, sector support services and a sound understanding of the housing and homelessness sector in Tasmania.
- Experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, across agency programs
and with other community service organisations.
- Competency in supporting vulnerable clients, including the ability to apply trauma‑informed and social‑impact approaches, and strong knowledge of factors that affect tenancy safety and sustainability (e.g., hoarding, squalor, family violence, mental health).
- Demonstrated ability to exercise problem solving skills, initiative, judgement and discretion in recommending or deciding on actions according to legislation, policy, guidelines and circumstances.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and supporting team members with assessment mandatory reporting requirements, and referral pathways for vulnerable cohorts and tenants at risk.

- Current Working with Vulnerable People registration (Tasmania)
- National Police Check (satisfactory)
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
