We’re looking for dedicated Environmental Cleaners and Laundry Assistants to join our team and make a meaningful difference every day.
Lions Haven is a leading not-for-profit 121 bed Residential Aged Care Facility in Hope Island. Our modern facility, which includes a 20 bed secure wing, offers a safe and comfortable environment to ensure quality of life to our residents, staff and visitors. Residents have the freedom to enjoy life in a homelike atmosphere where families and friends are most welcome.
Environmental Cleaner
You will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our aged care facility. You’ll work closely with our care and support teams to ensure all areas are hygienic, safe, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and offices.
• Follow infection control procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Support a respectful and dignified environment for residents.
Laundry Assistant
As a Laundry Assistant, you’ll ensure residents’ clothing and facility linen are cleaned, dried, and returned in a timely and respectful manner, contributing to their comfort and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items.
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area.
• Label and return personal items to the correct residents.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in cleaning or laundry (preferably in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality).
• Understanding of infection control and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a compassionate attitude.
• Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• COVID-19 vaccination as per government requirements.
Mandatory Requirements:
• Current police check or NDIS card
• Current year Influenza Vaccination
• Minimum 2 covid vaccination
