Program Overview

  • In our Residential Care and Emergency Placements programs, we provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and youth in need of immediate support and long-term stability. Grounded in our values of Faith, Family, and Future, we strive to create a home-like atmosphere where young individuals can build a stronger sense of self. We emphasize the importance of family connections and cultural heritage, ensuring that every child feels a sense of belonging and identity. Tasks and Responsibilities 

  • You will be responsible for meeting the daily needs of young people in care while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Each young person has unique needs and goals, and you will collaborate with your team to help them achieve these. Additionally, you will be required to manage administrative tasks, including updating shift logs and incident reports. You will also be required to work a range of shifts including, mornings, days, afternoons, evenings and sleep overs. 

Qualifications & experience 

  • Blue card 
  • Drivers license
  • Certificate IV or above in Family Youth Intervention or other relevant qualification
  • Current First aid and CPR 
  • Hope and Healing 
  • Experience desirable but not essential

Qualifications Details:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with young people in a care or educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with youth.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting their well-being.
  • Basic understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
