Lifeline Australia is a national suicide prevention charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. Lifeline Australia Ltd (LLA) is located in Sydney, with small teams of dedicated staff employed to lead funding and corporate relations activities, and to provide the design, technical infrastructure and governance of services across Lifeline’s member network. LLA recently embarked on an exciting
transformation journey, guided by an ambitious strategic plan.

ROLE
We’re looking for a RTO Compliance Administrator to support the delivery of high-quality, compliant training outcomes across our Lifeline Australia’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) programs.
In this role, you’ll be a key point of contact for compliance-related enquiries, working closely with internal teams to provide timely, accurate advice aligned with the Standards for RTOs, ASQA requirements, and broader VET regulatory frameworks. You’ll also support audits, compliance projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen quality and governance across the organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the first point of contact for compliance-related enquiries from business units (e.g., DV-alert and CSWT teams).
- Maintain a central log of compliance enquiries, actions, and outcomes to support continuous improvement.
- Support internal and external audit preparation, including collation of evidence and document control.
- Assist in monitoring compliance against key frameworks (VET Quality Framework, National VET Data Policy, and ASQA requirements).
- Support project planning, tracking, and reporting for RTO compliance initiatives and quality improvement projects.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, action logs, and status updates for Steerco and working group meetings.
- Support implementation of Written Directions, policy updates, and continuous improvement initiatives arising from audits or reviews.
- Monitor compliance trends and recurring issues, escalating risks and recommendations to the RTO Compliance Program Manager.
- Maintain strong working relationships to facilitate collaboration, consistency, and timely resolution of compliance issues.
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated experience in VET sector compliance, RTO administration, or audit coordination.
- Strong understanding of the Standards for RTOs and ASQA requirements.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships across multiple teams and functions.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent/superseded qualification such as TAE40116) is desirable but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to use student management systems (SMS) within the RTO sector (e.g., JobReady, VETtrak, aXcelerate, Cloud Assess, or similar platforms) to support data management, reporting, and compliance requirements.
