The Job

The Quality & Compliance Officer is responsible for the delivery of high standard, administrative services to internal and external stakeholders to support compliance with all legislative and contractual obligations in the provision of in-home and in-community aged care services. Responsibilities include: auditing, reporting, QMS administration, policy and procedure development, document control and management, external audit preparation, and communication of quality and compliance related issues. This is a hybrid role and part time employment may be considered for the right applicant.

Key Outcomes / Accountabilities

  • Prepare, coordinate, complete and/or document a range of internal and external quality audits, risk assessments and inspections.
  • Report results of auditing processes to identify gaps, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
  • Investigate, assign, escalate and report on incidents and non-compliances.
  • Monitor compliance and develop/update policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with relevance legislation, standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the quality management and document control system.
  • Collect, analyse and report on quality indicators including the preparation of dashboards and management reports.
  • Prepare documentation including handbooks, flow charts, manuals and educational material.
  • Assist with the successful completion of continuous improvement projects and programs.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to embed a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of external regulator visits including re/accreditation for Aged Care.
  • Provide quality and compliance related education and coaching to staff.
  • Provide employer representation as a member of the Lifebridge Work Health and Safety Committee including follow up actions and continuous improvement implementation..

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies Required

  • Tertiary qualifications in quality management or equivalent.
  • Experience working in community services, aged care, or equivalent in a quality or similar role.
  • Experience conducting audits, identifying gaps, reporting and undertaking corrective actions.
  • Intermediate skills in Office 365 suite of products, Teams, Outlook, Quality Management Systems, Customer Management Systems and Auditing Systems.
  • High level of organisation, time management and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and problem solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • NDIS Worker Check.
  • Current Drivers Licence and roadworthy vehicle.
