About us:
Leed is a privately-owned Australian civil contractor delivering projects in metropolitan, regional and remote areas of Australia. We have over 300 staff with offices and workshops in Adelaide, Bendigo, Cooma, and Melbourne. We contribute to some of Australia’s largest sustainable energy projects, and deliver reliable, safe water infrastructure and road projects that serve communities around the country.
The Project:
The Snowy Hydro Scheme is Australia’s largest ever engineering project. The scheme diverts water from four of Australia’s major rivers over a mountainous area of over 5,000 km2 and now provides a capacity of more than 5.5 MW of electricity across New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
Leed has been working at Snowy 2.0, both directly with Snowy Hydo and for the Main Contractor Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) since the project’s inception – delivering a range of earthworks, bridge, concrete, drainage, road and pavement works. The engagement is through a series of repeated and specific tasks. We have been proudly supporting this exciting venture for over 5 years.
