About us:

Ecospec is a specialist contractor delivering concrete remediation, structural repair and protective coating solutions across civil infrastructure, water infrastructure and industrial assets. Our work focuses on extending the life of critical infrastructure, including bridges, water assets, marine structures and industrial facilities. We deliver technically complex projects requiring high standards of workmanship, safety and attention to detail.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking Construction Workers with remediation experience to join our team.

The Opportunity:

You will be involved in the repair and rehabilitation of concrete infrastructure, working as part of a skilled remediation crew delivering projects across Queensland. Opportunities to work nationally will also be available

The role includes hands-on work across a range of specialist remediation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Concrete repairs and patching.
  • Installation of structural repair mortars and grouts.
  • Crack injection and sealing.
  • Installation of sacrificial anodes / cathodic protection systems.
  • Surface preparation including grinding, hydro-demolition and jackhammering.
  • Application of protective coatings and membranes.
  • Formwork and placement of repair materials.
  • Structural strengthening works.
  • Working at heights and in confined spaces on infrastructure assets.

About You:

We are particularly interested in candidates with concrete remediation experience. However, we will also consider strong tradespeople and labourers who want to develop specialist skills. Your experience will include:

  • Previous work with a concrete remediation contractor.
  • Experience with repair mortars, grouts, and structural repair products.
  • Concrete repair and patching.
  • Surface preparation.
  • Understanding of protective coatings application.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail.
  • An unwavering commitment to safety.
  • Physically capable of hands-on construction work.
  • Willingness to learn specialised remediation techniques.
  • Ability to travel and work away when required.

A trade background in carpentry/plastering/painting/blasting or concreting will be well regarded.
