Casual Grain Handler

We are excited to invite applications for our casual Grain Handler position at our Rand Transport and Grain Storage Depot.

Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our bulk storage facility. The close nature of our team ensures that everyone supports one another, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

About You:

• Be reliable and organised with ability to listen and learn, follow instructions and respect all WHS processes.
• Possesses a positive attitude, self-motivated and takes initiative.
• Pragmatic thinking with the ability to think outside the box to achieve practical outcomes and solutions to problems.

Your new role will be:

• Load and unload grain trucks into the silo and bunker complex.
• Weigh trucks and sample grain.
• Perform manual labour in outdoor environments, including exposure to high temperatures and dusty conditions.
• Ensure all visitors to the grain site are welcomed and enjoy a positive experience.
• Uphold all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Identify and address hygiene issues to ensure the highest standards are met.

You will have:

• Experience in grain handling and sampling.
• Ability to drive telehandlers and loaders.
• Previous experience in the grain industry.
• A strong focus on safety and a proactive approach.
• A ‘can do’ attitude that aligns with our company culture.
• A current Driver’s Licence.
• Accommodation within the area is required due to long hours, but we’re happy to assist the right candidate.
