So, what duties can you expect to do in your apprenticeship?
- Assist with mowing greens, tees, fairways, and surrounding turf areas.
- Help with daily course setup, including hole changes and tee markers.
- Support irrigation checks, hand-watering, and minor repairs.
- Participate in turf renovations such as coring, topdressing, and overseeding.
- Assist with fertiliser applications and turf health programs.
- Learn the safe operation of mowers, utility vehicles, blowers, and other turf equipment.
- Carry out weed, pest, and disease control under supervision.
- Perform bunker maintenance, edging, trimming, and course presentation tasks.
- Assist with garden, tree, and landscape maintenance across the course.
- Support course improvement projects and seasonal renovation works.
- Help maintain practice facilities, course infrastructure, and amenities.
- Attend TAFE training and apply learning to practical turf management activities.
