About the Role

Solutions+ is looking for an experienced Design Coordinator to join our growing Pre-Construction team. This is a pivotal role in our project delivery process, sitting at the intersection of design, pre-construction and is responsible for managing the flow of design information from project award through to construction handover.

You’ll be the engine behind our DA and CC submissions: coordinating consultants, chasing documentation, chairing meetings and ensuring every drawing package is accurate, compliant and delivered on time. If you’re highly organised, a clear communicator and thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, we want to hear from you.

CAD experience is a bonus, but it’s not what this role is about. We need someone who’s great at coordination, communication and keeping complex design processes on track.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Organise, track and submit design documentation for DA and CC submissions, ensuring drawings, reports and supporting documents are complete and compliant
  • Coordinate the design process across pre-construction stages in alignment with scope, program and budget
  • Chase consultants and sub-consultants to ensure timely delivery of drawings, reports and approvals
  • Review consultant and subcontractor drawings to confirm DA conditions and design intent are accurately reflected
  • Chair and attend design coordination meetings; capture actions, distribute minutes and drive them to resolution
  • Work through DA conditions to identify required design changes and coordinate revisions
  • Manage drawing submissions to clients, capture feedback and coordinate revisions accordingly
  • Maintain clear, traceable records of all design correspondence and decisions
  • Coordinate RFI processes and assist with variation and scope change documentation
  • Support procurement and construction teams with timely release of approved drawings
  • Monitor consultant fees and variations against agreed scope and deliverables
  • Contribute to Safety in Design, DA Matrix and Design Discipline Matrix processes

You Will Have:

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating design documentation on commercial, civil or landscape construction projects
  • Strong working knowledge of the NSW DA and CC submission process, including council and certifier requirements
  • Proven ability to manage multiple consultants and sub-consultants to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident chairing meetings with clients and consultants
  • Highly organised with strong document control and drawing register discipline
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and consultant reports
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and document management platforms such as Aconex, Procore or similar

Bonus points for:

  • Tertiary qualification in landscape architecture, architecture, construction management, civil engineering or related field
  • AutoCAD or Revit experience
  • Experience working with developer clients on residential or master-planned community projects
  • Familiarity with Safety in Design processes and DA/Design Discipline matrices
