About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Service Delivery Manager to lead and grow our quoted/project works function while ensuring seamless integration with Business As Usual (BAU) maintenance operations.
Reporting to the State Manager, this is a critical leadership role responsible for managing a team of Project Managers, driving subcontractor capability, and expanding project delivery across the business.
You will oversee a high-volume portfolio of concurrent projects, ranging from circa $5,000 to $250,000, while ensuring delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and strong financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of Project Managers
- Oversee delivery of multiple concurrent projects (time, cost, quality)
- Manage workload allocation, escalations, and team performance
Subcontractor Procurement & Management
- Develop and execute subcontractor procurement strategies
- Build and maintain a high-performing subcontractor network, including remote regions
- Ensure compliance with safety, contractual and performance standards
Business Development & Growth
- Identify and drive opportunities to grow the project works portfolio
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to increase project pipeline and conversion
- Support tendering, pricing strategies, and market positioning
Service Delivery Integration
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to align Projects and BAU delivery
- Optimise subcontractor utilisation across all workstreams
- Support a whole-of-business service delivery model
Operational & Financial Performance
- Monitor project financials, margins, and cost controls
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all works meet WHS, regulatory and contractual obligations
- Provide accurate reporting and insights to support decision-making
About You:
You are a strong leader with a hands-on approach, capable of operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You bring a balance of operational excellence, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement capability.
Key Requirements:
- 7+ years’ experience in operational management within maintenance, construction, or facilities services
- Proven experience leading project teams and managing high-volume workflows
- Strong subcontractor procurement and management experience
- Demonstrated success in business development or growing service lines
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
