Role Overview:
As a Network Design/Architect, you will support multiple projects and initiatives. You’ll design and implement IP and Firewall solutions, create high-level and low-level IP designs, configure routers and firewalls, and handle lab and production work for Simplified Infra Build Projects. Responsibilities include VRF analysis, configuration management, and lifecycle support for both major and minor exchanges. This role involves extensive collaboration with stakeholders and project teams to ensure seamless delivery of network solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement advanced IP and Firewall solutions for critical infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and ensure solutions align with project goals.
• Create and review high-level and low-level designs, ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Lead projects involving Cisco ASR9K, Juniper MX, and firewall technologies (Check Point, Fortinet).
• Analyse existing configurations to identify routing requirements and solutions.
• Participate in testing and validation, ensuring a seamless transition to live environments.
• Perform configuration updates, lab testing, and production implementations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network configurations and communications matrices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide regular updates and resolve implementation issues.
• Support change management processes, raise change requests, and be available for next-business-day support post-implementation.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
• Demonstrated experience in large, complex, and live network deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco ASR9K, Juniper MX, and firewall technologies (Check Point, Fortinet).
• Proven experience in Service Provider IP Core environments.
• Familiarity with NFVi and Cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with large-scale VRF management and route-leak implementations.
• Certifications such as CCDE, JNCIE, or Nokia NRS II/SRA are highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage shifting priorities, and meet deadlines.
