Overview

The Senior Salesforce Technical Consultant operates at the intersection of consulting and architecture, leading the design and technical delivery of complex, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions across multiple concurrent engagements. You will partner with customers, functional consultants to shape strategic technical direction, translating ambiguous business challenges into scalable, future-proof solutions with deep expertise across the Salesforce platform and particularly Service Cloud.

This is a hybrid consultant-architect role suited to someone who thrives in complexity, balances multiple workstreams with confidence, and brings both hands-on technical credibility and consulting presence to senior customer stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Lead end-to-end solution design for complex Salesforce programs, defining target-state architectures that span Service Cloud, Core platform, and integrated systems.
  • Translate functional requirements and user stories into technical designs, configuration specs, and build artefacts
  • Define solution options, trade-offs, and technical assumptions, clearly communicating these to both technical teams and customer stakeholders
  • Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices, platform governance, and security standards

Customer Engagement

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor across Salesforce Service Cloud and Core platform capabilities
  • Support presales activities including technical discovery, effort estimation, solution shaping, and architecture walkthroughs
  • Align technical solution design with customer objectives, success measures, and platform capabilities
  • Contribute to proposals, statements of work, and high-level technical designs where required

Multi-Project Delivery Leadership

  • Concurrently lead and contribute to multiple delivery engagements, balancing hands-on build, technical oversight, and architectural assurance across team.
  • Lead and contribute to hands-on delivery across projects, working directly with customers, functional consultants, and technical architects
  • Participate in solution playbacks and technical reviews to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery
  • Work within Agile or structured delivery frameworks, managing build tasks through to UAT support and go-live

Capability & Practice Contribution

Contribute to the maturity of the broader practice through reusable assets, design patterns, and accelerators. Mentor mid-level consultants, support capability uplift, and represent the practice in customer-facing thought leadership where appropriate.
