Position Description:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating qualified pipeline for the sales organisation. The role will work closely with Business Development Executives, Account Executives, Marketing, and Vendor Partners to identify prospects, engage new leads, and create opportunities through targeted outreach.
Responsibilities:
Pipeline Generation
- Identify, research, and target potential customers within assigned segments and verticals.
- Conduct outbound prospecting, including cold calls, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach, and event follow-ups.
- Qualify inbound marketing leads and nurture them into early-stage opportunities.
Customer Engagement
- Understand customer challenges and clearly articulate Kytec’s value proposition and key technology benefits
- Schedule discovery meetings and hand off qualified leads to Business Development Managers.
- Maintain high activity and engagement levels through structured outreach.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Development Managers to align outreach activities with territory strategy.
- Collaborate with Marketing to optimise lead generation campaigns and follow-up processes.
Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate lead and opportunity data in the Salesforce
- Track outreach metrics and pipeline creation performance against targets.
- Provide feedback to Sales and Marketing leadership on market insights and prospect trends.
About You (Skills & Attributes):
Must-Have
- 1–2 years’ experience in sales, BDR/SDR, telesales, inside sales, or customer-facing roles in the tech industry
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Drive, curiosity, and resilience — comfortable with outbound activity and rejection.
- Organisational discipline and ability to manage multiple leads, tasks, and follow-ups.
- A passion for technology and solving customer challenges.
