About the Role
Reporting to the Manager – Bulk Operations, you and your counterpart Supervisor are responsible for leading the day-to-day Gas Services operation from our Kwinana facility.
This role combines operational oversight with people leadership, ensuring our drivers, equipment and customer commitments are managed safely, efficiently and professionally.
You will be a visible leader who spends time engaging with drivers, supporting customers, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring operational performance aligns with KTrans’ high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily Gas Services operations
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the team
- Build positive working relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Manage driver compliance, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct toolbox meetings, investigations and corrective actions
- Coordinate fleet maintenance schedules and defect management processes
- Provide coaching, mentoring and performance support to team members
- Ensure service delivery targets are achieved while maintaining safety and compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within transport, logistics or a related operational environment
- Strong knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements
- Experience working within Dangerous Goods operations (highly regarded)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a dynamic environment
- A commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence
- Current WA Driver’s Licence (MC Licence highly regarded)
- Dangerous Goods Licence (desirable)
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol screening
