Job Description

Help in setting up welding equipment and materials. Assist experienced welders in welding, cutting, and brazing operations. Participate in the fabrication and repair of metal structures and components.
Learn welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Practice welding on various types of metals and thicknesses under supervision.
Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools. Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on welding machines.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines such as the use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. Assist in measuring and marking materials according to specifications.
Inspect welded joints and structures for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Assist in conducting tests to ensure welds are strong and durable.
Report progress and any issues to supervisors or senior welders.

Requirements

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
Display strong work ethic and commitment
Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
