Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator on a part-time or project basis to support fabrication and assembly work during peak project periods. The ideal candidate should have hands-on welding experience and be able to work independently or under minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform welding and fabrication tasks according to project requirements, drawings, and instructions.
  2. Execute welding methods such as MIG, TIG, or ARC (SMAW), depending on material and joint types.
  3. Cut, grind, and assemble metal parts for custom components or structural frames.
  4. Ensure welding work meets quality and safety standards.
  5. Assist in on-site installation or fitting (if project scope includes fieldwork).
  6. Maintain tools, equipment, and cleanliness of the work area.
  7. Complete assigned tasks within the project timeline with accuracy and minimal rework.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a welder/fabricator (min. 1–2 years preferred).
  2. Proficient in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding.
  3. Ability to read and interpret basic fabrication drawings.
  4. Must possess good attention to detail and quality.
  5. Able to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings depending on project needs.
  6. Physically fit for hands-on work (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).
  7. Preferably with own transport (especially for site-based projects).

Contract Terms

Duration: Based on project needs (e.g., 2 weeks to 3 months).

Working Days: Flexible; arranged according to project timeline and urgency.

Payment: Daily / Hourly rate or fixed per project (negotiable based on experience).

  1. Valid Welding Certifications (e.g., 3G, 6G, CIDB, etc.)
  2. Forklift handling
  3. Knowledge of stainless steel and aluminum welding
  4. Able to bring own basic welding tools (optional)
