Join Koorana Child & Family Services as our Preschool Director at our warm, inclusive preschool in Roselands. You’ll lead a skilled team, shape a high quality program, and create a place where every child and educator can thrive.
The Opportunity
As our Director/Nominated Supervisor, you’ll guide pedagogy, compliance and culture at a term time preschool open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm. During NSW school holidays, children don’t attend, however this time is dedicated to program reflection, in service training and team building so you can plan, upskill and lead with purpose.

What You’ll Do
• Lead service quality as the Director/Nominated Supervisor, ensuring compliant, high quality delivery every day.
• Design and embed an inclusive educational program that supports successful participation for all children.
• Provide pedagogical leadership and mentoring to the Educational Leader, Responsible Person and Educators.
• Collaborate closely with specialist staff to develop, integrate and evaluate intervention strategies for children with additional learning needs, in partnership with families.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, staff and community stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Director.
• Deep knowledge of the National Quality Framework including the National Law and Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.
• Practical experience with the Assessment and Rating process.
• Understanding of Child Safe Organisation principles, child wellbeing legislation, and Workplace Health and Safety Legislation.
• Proven ability to plan and implement a high quality early childhood curriculum grounded in evidence based practice and inclusive pedagogy.
• Experience leading and developing teams in an early childhood setting.
• Strength working with children of all abilities, including children with additional learning needs, and with vulnerable children and families.
• Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills.
• A collaborative approach with cultural humility and the ability to build strong family and community partnerships.
• Alignment with Koorana’s values in all internal and external interactions.
Qualifications and Checks
• An ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Bachelor or above).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current National Police Check.
• Current NDIS Workers Check (or eligibility to obtain).
Hours, Location & Employment Type
• Full time, permanent, Roselands (8:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday).
• Operates in line with NSW Department of Education school terms; school holidays are set aside for staff planning, reflection, training and team building.
